Art is my protest and my sanctuary. A writer’s thoughts are put to paper;
my thoughts are put to canvas. Sometimes my work comes from a
recurrent and insistent thought and sometimes from a brief moment in life
that is never forgotten.
My art is a tension of shared realities and personal vision. Most of what I
do is intuitive so all at the same time I am making and perceiving. I like
the intensity that texture brings to a piece. It absorbs the viewer and if I
am successful, my work articulates what for me is ineffable in words.
My life in art is more of a daily process than a product. I live for the
process. When it all comes together, ideally, life is art. Life in art, art in life
is not by bread alone.
