Jerry likes showing off the natural character and beauty of native
area species of wood in his one-of-a-kind pieces. He tells numerous
stories of the "help" he recieves in his shop from a "Higher Power".
Even though it is a one man operation, he is not alone in his shop, he
will tell you.
Jerry donates one of his music stands annually to the Chautauqua
County Music Festival as an award for one of the county's
outstanding music students. He also was one of the artists in the
'Morgan's Horse' fundraising event to benefit the Westfield Memorial
Hospital in September 2006.
His art has been on exhibit at the Village gallery in Mayville, Discover
Artworks at the Redbrick Farm in Chautauqua, House on the hill gallery
as well as other locations. Jerry has a booth in the Crossroads Market
in Sherman New York. One of his exquisite console tables won the
W.K. Ulerich Memorial Award at the annual Susquehanna River Art
Center juried show, held at the Henry and Co. store in Clearfield,
Pennsylvania, in September and October 2006. |
